4 Month Pics....
4 moths old!!!!
Where has the time gone??... Kelby Lynn turned 4 months last week on the 13th. We also went in for her 4 month check up. She weighed 17lbs 4oz and is 27 inches long. The doctor gave her an A+ and said she is the size of a 7 month old. She did awesome for her shots. Of course, I started crying once they brought them in but she didn’t cry until the 4th shot. Post shots she did great as well. She didn’t have any kind of fever.
Kelby has become quite the “Chatty Kathy”. Her favorite show is “Little Einstein’s”. She loves to sit and talk and laugh with them. Her personality is really beginning to shine. She sometimes talks a little too much but it is so cute. I think I have caught her yelling at me a few times…LOL…
I became really sick this week with Mastitis which is an infection in the breast from breastfeeding. I was in terrible pain and had a high fever. I couldn’t have survived this week without my wonderful husband, mother-in-law and parents. They all took such great care of Kelby and me.

I finally decided to update our blog today! We had an amazing first Christmas with our baby Kelby and it was a white one to top it off. She was truly the best gift of all. Kelby started the month of December with a mild cold by the end of December I had caught 2 really bad colds. I got so sick on Christmas Day and poor John had to play mommy and daddy for his whole vacation… he did great… I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband!!! I am pretty sure he was ready to go back to work by that MondayJ… We had a very relaxed New Year’s. We were laughing about how much our lives have changed since last year…LOL. I do have to say it was great not having a hangover on New Year’s Day.
Kelby will be 4 months old next Wednesday!!! We’ll also be going in for her 4 month shots as well. I am not looking forward to that again. She did great afterwards last time it was during the shots that was so hard. I can’t wait to see how much she has grown. She has just about exceeded the weight in her swing because we now have to give it a good push start to get going. I’m guessing she is about 20lbs if not more by now. She started her belly laugh about a week ago!!! YAY!!! There is nothing better than a baby with the giggles. It is so funny because when she started smiling a couple of months ago we were always trying to make her smile and now she does it all the time. Now all I do all day is try to get laughs out. She has also picked up the thumb sucking pretty well. Her gums are beginning to get hard so she now uses her soothing to chew on. Kelby is still trying to roll over; she is having issues with getting her butt over. She is still changing everyday and growing like crazy. I just can’t believe how fast it is going by.
Happy Birthday John!!! We love you!!!!

“Tis the season” to be busy!!!
Since Thanksgiving we have been going nonstop. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Burrows and Jones family. Having a baby during the holidays can be very exhausting but I’m so glad that she got to see family members that hadn’t seen her since she was born and those who met her for the first time. This past weekend we went to the Gaylord so Kelby could meet Santa for the first time and she did great! When I gave her to Santa she looked at him like “who are you”? She wore the cutes outfit that said “Result of Mommy Kissing Santa Clause”. Sunday was John’s day!! John finally got to play with his birthday present from this past January. We went to Texas Motor Speedway and John got to race a NASCAR stockcar for 20 laps. He had a blast going fast!!!!
Kelby is talking a lot more and is all smiles… She’s just on the verge of giggling. Her laugh sounds like she is hyperventilating but she is working on it. Her new favorite word is “gee” which she uses to let us know she is still here. She is still growing like a weed and is definitely a tank. We had a nurse, who works with babies, ask if she was 6 months old the other day and she almost fell over when we said she wasn’t even 3 months old. There have been others who ask if she is breastfed, which she is and I think that has a lot to do with her size. My parents try to come see her every weekend and they can’t believe how much more she weighs from week to week. I haven’t really noticed her weight since I am always picking her up. We knew she was going to be a big baby but I had no idea she would grow as quickly as she has. I am so grateful to stay at home with her. We are still having so much fun and cherish everyday!!
